Homeless Youth Services is hiring, the following positions are available:

FT Overnight Counselor: Marsha P Johnson Center

One of two staff members responsible for supervising drop-in center for LGBT youth from 12am-8am Monday-Friday. Responsibilities include conducting intake interviews; providing referrals; enforcing rules; engaging youth in activities; providing informal counseling and conflict resolution as necessary.


PT Weekend Counselor: Marsha P Johnson Center

One of two staff members responsible for supervising drop-in center for LGBT youth from 12am-8am Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities include conducting intake interviews; providing referrals; enforcing rules; engaging youth in activities; providing informal counseling and conflict resolution as necessary.


PT Overnight Counselor: Sylvia’s Place

One of two staff members responsible for supervising LGBT youth shelter from 10:30pm-8am. Responsibilities include: enforcing curfew, bedtime, wake up, chores, and rules; doing clients’ laundry; conducting intake interviews; writing shift notes; providing informal counseling and conflict resolution as necessary.


PT Psychiatrist: Marsha P Johnson Center


Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing treatment and medication management to a population of 16-24 year old LGBT homeless youth. 5 hrs/wk - hours are flexible.

Applicants must be familiar with harm reduction model; LGBT youth issues; conflict resolution techniques.
